VAT

Some companies have been importing goods from outside the European Union for a long time. For others, this is a new process since the United Kingdom is no longer part of the European Union.

When British companies import goods into the Netherlands to sell them to their customers in the Netherlands they have to pay Value Added Tax (VAT). They can redeem VAT from the British Tax Authority, but that can take time. And with cash flow, time is money.  

The Belgian Customs Authority has recently reported a growing number of fraud cases with importing goods from countries like China concerning import duties and VAT.
